APM Health Europe Editorial Team

Hélène is APMHE's chief editor. She joined the team as Head of Berlin Bureau in 2016, after covering the French market for 19 years for APMHE's sister service APM. Her main areas of focus are all aspects of policy and legislation related to drug development, regulation, hospital management, parliamentary news and public health. She graduated from the Institut d'études politiques de Paris ('Sciences Po') and the Centre de formation des journalistes (Paris).

Nick has specialised in business reporting for more than 25 years, split between the UK's Press Association, television's commercial text service Teletext and APMHE. He has covered business developments - results, mergers and acquisitions and stock market movements - of Europe's major pharmaceutical groups. He has also worked in general news reporting for BBC national radio, local newspapers in Birmingham, as well as local television in London. Nick is APMHE's editor and is based at our offices in London.

Natalie began her career in the UK tabloid press before moving into healthcare reporting, where she has remained for the best part of a decade. She has focused in particular on outsourcing and digital health as well as cell and gene therapies. After reporting for two France-based trade publications and a Financial Times online publication covering financial and pharmaceutical news, Natalie is now a member of APM Health's London team.

Thomas has been covering the healthcare industry as a reporter for more than six years. After studying journalism at the University of Stirling in Scotland, he worked for five years at publishing company PMGroup in various editorial positions covering the pharma industry and healthcare communications. He has also spent time reporting on the IT and digital aspects of healthcare at Digital Health News, covering areas such as apps and mobile health, big data and electronic patient records. Thomas is based at our offices in London.

Sabine covers the German health market and is based at APMHE’s Berlin Bureau. She started working in medical journalism as a freelance reporter and translator for online news portal Medscape Germany as well as for German press agency dpa. After finishing her PhD on psychiatric textbooks, she was trained as a journalist at Henri-Nannen school for journalism and at a regional newspaper in Eastern Germany.

Gemma is part of APM Health's London team covering the European and U.S. healthcare markets. She has mostly worked for B2B publications, including for Pharmaceutical Market Europe (PME) where she covered the pharma industry and healthcare communications for more than two years. She graduated from Southampton Solent University in 2015 (BA in Journalism and English Literature).

Peter O’Donnell is an EU-accredited Brussels-based journalist who has been covering European affairs for over 20 years. He has worked for The Financial Times, The Sunday Times, Reuters, the Economist Intelligence Unit, UPI, Euronews and many other media in Europe and beyond. He is a former editor-in-chief of Europe Information Service and associate editor of European Voice (now Politico). He was deputy editor of Scrip in the 1980s, and has written for many specialist publications in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector.

Robert has been writing about business, the economy and financial markets in Italy and Europe for 25 years. As a freelance correspondent, he has contributed on a regular basis to a number of publications including Sunday Business, Financial News and the International Herald Tribune as well as many specialist finance, banking and investment magazines and newsletters. He has been APMHE's Milan-based correspondent since 2006, covering all aspects of Italian healthcare and pharmaceutical news. He is fluent in Italian and has a working knowledge of French.

Belén works as APMHE correspondent for Spain and Portugal. She has specialised in healthcare news for the past 15 years, with a focus on pharma for more than 10 years. She has covered scientific meetings, drug developments and healthcare policy for Spanish medical and pharmaceutical journals and a number of national newspapers on a freelance basis.

Edouard has been writing about the healthcare industry for more than 20 years. He joined APMHE’s sister service APM (based in Paris) in 1996, and became head of the pharmaceutical industry and drug policy section. He is now APM’s managing editor. He graduated from the Institut d'études politiques de Paris ('Sciences Po') and the Centre de formation des journalistes (Paris).

Guillaume is in charge of the pharma section for Paris-based site APMnews. He joined the team in 2013 after working three years for French local and financial newspapers. He graduated from the Institut d’études politiques (IEP) of Lille and from the University of Kent in Canterbury (BA in Politics, economics and philosophy in Europe).

Marion reports for the pharma section for APMHE's sister site APMnews in Paris. She joined the team in 2019 after working for six years for the industry press, covering digital media, advertising and digital healthcare. She has degrees in political sciences, economics and journalism, from various Parisian universities

Hannah translates French news and specialist scientific issue articles from APMHE's sister service APMnews. She joined the team in 2018 after working as a freelance translator and interpreter specialising in the medical sector. She has a BA from the University of Bristol (French and Russian) and a MA from the University of Bath (Interpreting and Translating). Hannah is based at APM headquarters in Paris.
