Belén works as APMHE correspondent for Spain and Portugal. She has specialised in healthcare news for the past 15 years, with a focus on pharma for more than 10 years. She has covered scientific meetings, drug developments and healthcare policy for Spanish medical and pharmaceutical journals and a number of national newspapers on a freelance basis.
Catherine is an international business journalist based at APMHE's Berlin bureau, where she has been covering the German healthcare market since 2015. She writes about changes to the regulatory and legal environments, health technology assessment, pricing and reimbursement and market trends. She began her career in the publishing office at the journal Science in Washington, D.C. She has a master's degree in journalism from the City University of New York.
Robert has been writing about business, the economy and financial markets in Italy and Europe for 25 years. As a freelance correspondent, he has contributed on a regular basis to a number of publications including Sunday Business, Financial News and the International Herald Tribune as well as many specialist finance, banking and investment magazines and newsletters. He has been APMHE's Milan-based correspondent since 2006, covering all aspects of Italian healthcare and pharmaceutical news. He is fluent in Italian and has a working knowledge of French.
Nick has specialised in business reporting for the past 16 years, split between the UK's Press Association and television's commercial text service Teletext. He has covered business developments - results, mergers and acquisitions and stock market movements - of Europe's major pharmaceutical groups. Nick is an APMHE correspondent for the UK and Ireland and is based at our offices in London.
Caroline Le Gargasson (coordinator)
Caroline began her career in the UK Department of Health. She first joined APMHE in 2005 as a translator, returning in 2015 after seven years in editing, marketing and corporate journalism roles at the Paris headquarters of Societe Generale bank. She has a degree in modern languages from the University of Oxford and speaks fluent French and Spanish. She is based at APM headquarters in Paris.
Hélène Mauduit is a senior healthcare journalist now based in Berlin, after covering the French market for 19 years for APMHE's sister service APM. Her main areas of focus are all aspects of policy and legislation related to drug development, regulation, hospital management, parliamentary news and public health. She graduated from the Institut d'études politiques de Paris ('Sciences Po') and the Centre de formation des journalistes (Paris).
Thomas has been covering the healthcare industry as a reporter for more than six years. After studying journalism at the University of Stirling in Scotland, he worked for five years at publishing company PMGroup in various editorial positions covering the pharma industry and healthcare communications. He has also spent time reporting on the IT and digital aspects of healthcare at Digital Health News, covering areas such as apps and mobile health, big data and electronic patient records. Thomas is based at our offices in London.
Peter O’Donnell is an EU-accredited Brussels-based journalist who has been covering European affairs for over 20 years. He has worked for The Financial Times, The Sunday Times, Reuters, the Economist Intelligence Unit, UPI, Euronews and many other media in Europe and beyond. He is a former editor-in-chief of Europe Information Service and associate editor of European Voice (now Politico). He was deputy editor of Scrip in the 1980s, and has written for many specialist publications in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector.
Natalie began her career in the UK tabloid press before moving into healthcare reporting, where she has remained for the best part of a decade. She has focused in particular on outsourcing and digital health as well as cell and gene therapies. After reporting for two France-based trade publications and a Financial Times online publication covering financial and pharmaceutical news, Natalie is now a member of APM Health's London team.
